One recent advance in the field of dentistry is the INVISALIGN orthodontic system. Dr. Dorsch has been a certified invisalign provider since 2007.

Invisalign is the virtually invisible way to straighten teeth without the use of traditional braces. The system uses a series of custom made, clear aligners that gradually move teeth over time based on the doctor's prescription to create an ideal smile for the patient. Aligners are removable and virtually invisible, which means you can straighten your teeth without anyone knowing; and you can still eat and drink what you want. Also, you can brush and floss normally to maintain healthy gums and teeth; and there are no wires, metal or brackets to cause mouth abrasions.

Each aligner is worn for about two weeks and a check with Dr. Dorsch is performed every 6 to 8 weeks to monitor the gradual tooth movement. The average treatment times vary from 6 to 18 months.
